In cervical spine surgery, patient positioning has traditionally relied on rolled towels, IV bags, foam donuts, tape, and a whole lot of improvisation. It works, but it’s far from modern. That’s why I’m excited about Nextend by Bone Foam, a logical, purpose-built positioning system using modern foam technology and smart design to improve exposure, stability, and efficiency in the OR.
